- National School Psychologies Awareness Week: Pinellas will join others across the country in making a commitment to help our students and staff celebrate this year's theme, "Find Your Focus." The theme highlights how school psychologists and other educators can help students identify areas of interest, set goals and develop critical academic and social skills. Learn more about National School Psychology Awareness Week.
- Family Engagement Month: November is Florida Family Engagement in Education Month. It celebrates the important role parents and families play in the education of children. When schools work with families to support learning, children are more motivated to succeed in school and in life. The Florida Department of Education has compiled a variety of resources to support family engagement. How are you engaging families? Have you invited parents in for a writing celebration? Or to do a science experiment? Get creative!
- Speech Language Therapist: Melissa Croce is our new Speech Language Pathologist. She is replacing Sherilyn Gomez.

Committment to Character
The November character trait is CITIZENSHIP. The definition of Citizenship that we use is - Being law abiding and involved in service to school, community and country. Books you might like to read aloud on Citizenship include:
The Summer My Father Was Ten, by Pat Brisson
Duck for President, by Doreen Cronin
The Flag We Love, by Pam Munoz Ryan
“When all of us work together, we become good citizens and our country becomes stronger.” ~Donna Forest
