Message from the Principal

Dear NACP Students and Families,


Happy Friday! Hooray, for completing one full week of Hybrid Learning! NACP Admin, Teachers and Staff would like to send a BIG Thank You. You've helped make this transitions for our kids a positive one.


This week, just like the last one, we saw kids coming to school full of enthusiasm. Although the check in process has been something we've had to adjust to, the kids seem not to mind and every day it's been a little faster that the previous one. Parents, thank you for doing your part in both the arrival and the dismissal process. Working together really makes a difference!


In this issue I will share information on our First Mobile COVID Testing visit at NACP, the Daily Pass QR Codes and how they can save you time in the morning and how to reach out for help installing the Daily Pass Portal/App to your phone.

We would like to share how a QR Code can save you precious time when dropping off your child in the morning...



When you have a QR Code Ready to Show a Greeter the process is much, much faster. A Greeter will...


  1. Scan your QR Code
  2. Take your temperature
  3. Give you a sticker and you go straight to the playground via Line #2

To Get a QR Code Do the Following

Before arriving to school each day, complete a Daily Health Check using the Daily Pass App


  • Log into your Daily Pass Account (Click here to create a shortcut for an iphone or a shortcut to your android device)
  • Click on Create a Daily Pass
  • Selecta a Location
  • Take the Daily Health Check Click on Accept
  • Read the Statements and click on I Agree if they apply to your child
  • The Daily Pass QR Code will appear on your screen and you are ready to go (take a screenshot if possible)
  • REPEAT for each student
*A new pass must be generated each school day

WHY DOES IT TAKE SO LONG WHEN I DON'T HAVE A QR CODE?

Unfortunately, it does take a little longer when a QR code is not presented. We must ensure the safety of all of our NACP Dolphins as well as that of teachers, staff and administrators. To do so we have to take the following steps...


1. Look for your child's name on roster #1 - Roster number one informs us if the student is allowed or not allowed to be on campus based on test results.


  • If the name appears on the list the student will then go to Table/Line #1 to answer the Health Questions ( safety and exposure check) and his/her temperature will be taken
****If the student is not on Roster #1, then we have to look in the next roster

2. If your child's name is not on roster #1, we have to look for his/her name in Roster #2- Roster number 2 informs us of test results from an LAUSD COVID Testing Site





  • If the name appears on the list the student will then go to Table/Line #1 to answer the Health Questions ( safety and exposure check) and his/her temperature will be taken
****If the student is not on Roster #2, then we have to look in the next roster



3. If your child's name is not on roster #1 or 2, we have to look for his/her name in Roster #3- Roster number 3 informs us of test results from a non-LAUSD COVID Testing Site


  • If the name appears on the list we have to verify that the tests results are still valid
  • If the tests results are valid the student will then go to Table/Line #1 to answer the Health Questions ( safety and exposure check) and his/her temperature will be taken
****If the student is not on Roster #3 or the Test results are no longer valid, we have to request that the parent present valid COVID Test results



COVID Test Results are Valid for a Period of Two (2) Weeks

COVID Tests taken at an LAUSD Site are sent directly to the school (present Daily Pass or Student's SSID)

COVID Tests results from a non-LAUSD site can be uploaded to the Daily. They will appear in the system, but may take 48+ hours (The school is unable to upload results into the system)

NACP HAS PROVIDED MORE THAN 70,000 MEALS TO CHILDREN SINCE AUGUST 2020

MEALS DURING REOPENING

NACP is committed to providing meals (breakfast and lunch) to children who attend NACP and also children from our community.


Students attending In-Person instruction M, W, TH, F:


  • Breakfast in the classroom will be served daily
  • Lunch will be given inside a bag for students to take home (meal, drink, fruit)
  • Students in the Learning Center After School Care will also receive a ready to eat sack lunch from the school and the Learning Center will provide an evening snack
  • On Mondays students will take home an extra lunch and breakfast for Tuesday

Students participating in Distance Learning and Children in the Community:


  • Grab and Go Meals will be provided every Tuesday

9:00am to 12:00pm

1:00pm to 2:30 pm




  • Stop by the front of the school to pick up 5 Breakfast Meals and 5 Lunch Meals for each child in their household. Each EntrĂ©e includes a main dish, 1 or 2 sides, 1 or 2 pieces of fruit, and a drink.

We love visitors, but due to COVID-19 restrictions our office is currently closed.


If you are having issues with your Chromebook please call Beehively first (number above). If our IT personnel is unable to help you resolve the issue and you need to exchange the Chromebook, please email the office to make an appointment. Appointments will only be available on Mondays (except for holidays). Please note that we can only have a limited number of people in our office.
