Summary of the Giver
Jonas is the new the receiver of his community and Twelves. He faces many obstacle courses as the new receiver. For example, every receiver has to have memories but for Jonas some of his memories are good and bad. The Giver one of the main character gave him memories and tips of being a receiver.
Main Character: Jonas
Jonas is the new receiver of the community of twelves. He is intelligence,has integrity, and he has courage. Jonas is very careful about language. Challenges that Jonas face is his memories because some of his memories contains violence. Another one is Jonas seeing his dad kill on of the twins.
Asher
- Asher was one of Jonas friends. He wasn't careful about his language, he wasn't very proper about way he talk. Asher was very playful and he liked to play with little kids.
Gabe
- Gabe was Jonas little brother, he is a newborn. He is adorable, he has pale eyes like Jonas.
The Giver
- Giver is a kind,elderly man. He is one that gives Jonas all the memories that Jonas needs. He has a daughter name Rosemary.
"The worst part of holding the memories is not the pain. It's the loneliness of it. Memories need to be shared"

My overall rating for the giver will be a 4.6 out 5.
Likes: The ceremony because now the kids have a role in the community.
