What an Incredible Start!
Thank you for an amazing start to the school year! Tons of smiling students throughout the school. You all do a fantastic job of instilling in them that we are one team! Keep being a positive role model for them! A big shout out to everyone that helped with arrival and dismissal this week (even those that don't have the duty). It takes a village...scratch that...it takes a TEAM!
Mastery Connect!
I have had a few inquires about the next steps of the 48 hour Challenge. Here you go:
Your PLC has:
- 1) Decided on a standard you will teach towards the beginning of 1st quarter
- 2) Built a common formative assessment to measure student growth of that standard.
In the next 2 weeks, your PLC will:
- 1) Teach the agreed-upon standard,
- 2) Formatively assess that standard
- 3) Meet with your PLC team and myself as close to the assessment date as possible to review the results.
Please have your BLT rep tell me when you are going to assess the standard and when you would like to go over it with your PLC and myself.

We will release the visitors to your classrooms about 20 minutes prior to this time. This will give them about 15 minutes in your classroom. I appreciate you thinking of something for them to look at or do…even though it is packed. Thanks for your flexibility and patience on this day. The kids and grandparents love it!
