A School to Emulate

Memorial Elementary Bobcat Bulletin 11-16 through 11-20-15

Thanksgiving Break!

We have one week until Thanksgiving break! Wow! I can't believe it's already here. We have accomplished so much in just a few short months:

* Visioning Meetings

* Library Transformation

* Common Assessments

* Walkthroughs & Feedback Forms

* Student Goal Setting & Progress Measures

* Fantastic Instructional Strategies

* Family Nights

* 3-5 Collaboration Station

* Parent/Teacher Conferences

* Field Trips

* CogAT Testing

* I could go on and on...

We should all be very proud of ourselves. I know that you are looking forward to a much deserved break to spend some time with your families. Many of our students are equally as excited. However, we do have some students who are unsure of what the week away from school will bring. We will see all types of behaviors this week as students cope. Please have a little more patience and offer a lot more love to those who need it.

As we continue to celebrate Picture Book Month feel free to dress up as your favorite book characters all week!

No Bobcat Visioning Meeting this week. We will pick up with A-week when we return from break.

Keep filling the walls with displays of student work samples. They look GREAT! I love to see what our students produce and I know they are proud when they see their work as well.

This is a reminder that "unknown" district personnel will enter the building using doors other than the main entrance. They will see how much of the building they can access before being addressed by staff and escorted to the main office. We got this!

Thanks everyone and let's have a wonderful week!

That's HILARIOUS! Send your funnies my way...

A 4th grader and his little brother were walking out the door and his little brother was crying. The older brother responded, "what are you crying about?! It's gonna be ok! It's not the apocalypse!!!"
