Nice shoutout in the Top Docs issue of Honolulu Magazine out this month. The issue also features insights from Dean Jerris Hedges, UH Health Policy Director (and 2009 JABSOM MD alum) Dr. Aimee Grace and others about the physician shortage, and nice congratulatory ads recognizing our "Top Doc" faculty docs and congratulating all the Top Docs who are JABSOM MD or Resident Alumni or Faculty, which typically is over 50% those featured.
The HALLOWEEN SPOOKTACULAR THRIFT SHOP and BAKE SALE is Friday, October 25 to raise money for the HOME Halloween Keiki Carnivals. Come to the MEB lobby and get some Spooktacular treats and get some great bargains on Halloween decorations, pumpkin carving kits, costumes, and halloween baking supplies!! If you would like to donate something to the HOME bake sale, that would also be great!! Dr. Omori and the HOME volunteers & Students also are seeking snacks and small toys for prizes. Nov. 6 and Nov. 14: Youth Vaping TV Special featuring Dr. Elizabeth Tam
Hawaii News Now will re-broadcast the "Youth Vaping: Hawaii’s New Epidemic” program on Wednesday, November 6th, 2019, at 6:30 p.m. on KGMB, and on Thursday, November 14th, 2019, at 6:30 p.m. on KHNL. The program features Chair of Medicine Dr. Elizabeth Tam, among other experts. Dr. Tam was interviewed by host Matt Levi here at JABSOM.
