User friendly for Both Teachers and Students
There are various factors that should be considered when discussing the topic of assistive technologies. Consider these criticisms of AT from the Learning Disabilities Association of Canada. One finding, that is very problematic, is that students are not properly trained to use certain assistive technologies and are not afforded the appropriate amount of time to use them. Another finding is that some technologies are matched inappropriately to the students needs, often times resulting in the technology being too complicated for the student to employ.
