Information
The Edgar Allan Poe Museum is a small house at 1914 E Main St in Richmond. Even though he never lived in the house, it commemorates him and his time spent in Virginia. There are different exhibits in the house about his life and writings. There is no specific artist, but the museum was founded in 1911 by people in Richmond who thought that Poe should be honored by the city.
What it tells you
The style of the house says a lot about Poe, and there is a room that is supposed to be the setting for his famous poem, The Raven. There are parts that show how Poe had mental problems during his life, and that he was very poor despite of his writing.
