SHISD Mid-Week Message
Weekly Superintendent's Message for Spring Hill ISD
The Ending of Another Great Year in Spring Hill ISD
Panther Nation,
It has been another great year in Spring Hill ISD. Tonight, SHISD will graduate 109 young men and women and send them off to college, careers, and even the military. The week started off great with the May board meeting where we recognized over 100 students that achieved state recognition in academics, athletics, and service. This was followed by award ceremonies at our campuses and will culminate with Graduation tonight at 7 pm at LeTourneau in the Belcher Center.
As superintendent and father of one of tonight's graduates, words cannot express how grateful I am for the love, support, and dedication from the teachers and staff of Spring Hill ISD. I am very proud of our students and I am grateful for the wonderful staff that gives hours and hours of service to all of our students. This week at our dinner to honor the top 10 percent of the graduating class, the common theme from each student was thankfulness and gratitude for love, influence, and advice that extends well beyond academics. Our teachers and students truly connect with each other and make a lasting difference in each other's lives.
I wish the class of 2018 well and can't wait for everyone else to return next fall.
Have a great summer!
-Steven Snell, Superintendent Spring Hill ISD

Principal Lynch Kisses a Goat
The leadership classes at the jr high challenged the jr high campus to raise $2,700 to help provide animals for underprivileged areas of Africa. We partnered with a relief organization called World Vision to provide a life-changing gift of 2 cows, 2 sheep, 2 pigs, 2 goats, and 20 chickens, that will provide ample nutrition — including milk, eggs, meat, and more–for years to come. As the animals multiply, families can sell surplus food for extra income. Our principal, Mr. Lynch, Said he would kiss a live goat if we reached our goal.
Knowing this was a lofty amount, I asked the primary campus to get involved by challenging their campus to buy one cow which would be $700. They not only bought one cow but two cows raising $1400! And Mrs. Turner had the joy of kissing a cow! The Chick-fil-a cow! And the primary kids absolutely LOVED seeing that!
The jr high totals are as follows:
- 6TH grade 864.57
- 7TH grade 584.65
- 8TH grade 270.29
- TEACHERS JEANS PASS 460.00
- TOTAL: 2,179.51
Add this to the primary total of over $1,400 and we MORE than reach our goal!
And Mr. Lynch got to kiss a goat!
