¡Notas! Staff Update

Austin ISD - Department of English Language Learners

March 2, 2016

Introducing Our Bi-weekly Staff Update

Thank you for browsing this first issue of our "¡Notas! Staff Update".

The audience for this update is the ELL staff at CAC; generally it is not for the public (though nothing the public may see here is top secret).

As you notice, the items are short and to-the-point with links for more info as available.

"¡Notas!" will be sent every other week with notes, coming events and reading suggestions you may find of interest.

Please Share Your Updates!

If you have any updates or info you would like to share with staff, please send them to Merlinda Rodriguez via email ... or just catch us in the hallway.

Social Media: AISDBilingual

Our social media handles (identifiers) have changed:

Now, when people ask "what's your handle?", we can say "AISDBilingual"!

Easy to remember.

Please update your handles on your email signatures, memos. etc to reflect the new names.

Department Logos

For a more unified look and feel of department communications, AISD and department logos have been standardized.

Logos are available for use on your flyers, memos, social media postings, etc.

Where Can I Find These Logos?

You can find them in the department's shared network folder (Bilingual Ed Share) in the "Communications" folder.

Nuts & Bolts!

Please note the following for smoother operations:

  • AISD Workforce - Please be sure to submit time absent from work to the Worksforce system each week.

  • Supply Orders - Please plan your supply requests. Submit with at least one week's notice.
Note: Office Depot orders are placed only on the 1st, 2nd and 4th Fridays of each month. Orders must be approved before submission. Please plan accordingly.

  • Time Change! Daylight Saving Time starts on Sunday, March 13 at 2 a.m.
Be sure to set your clocks and enjoy longer days during your Spring Break.
