What Are We Learning???
Social skills and school behavior are a critical part of preschool curriculum. Last week we learned different voice levels. Level 0 = silent, Level 1 = whisper, Level 2 = "inside voice" or the voice we use when talking to our friends, Level 3 = teacher or talking in front of group Level 4 = "outside voice" and Level 5 = scream or "emergency/danger voice". I feel we need a little more review and practice and this week we will review the Problem Solving Kit, practice what should you do if you have _______ problem, and discuss more emotion words. We will end the week with the book My Many Colored Days and make a color collage. Each child will dictate why a color makes them feel a certain way.
This week we also have the library here on Tuesday, Ms. Shelly's group on Wednesday and I will be at professional development on Friday.
Speech-Language Group- Jan 11-15, 2016
We will make a choice of the shape (circle, heart, triangle) where we will place our picture. We will read the book Wake Up, Wake Up! by Brian and Rebecca Wildsmith and then retell the sequence of animals. We will review the nursery rhymes "Pat-A-Cake", "One, Two, Buckle My Shoe", and "Hickory, Dickory, Dock".
We can still use toilet paper tubes or paper towel tubes - the kids have enjoyed making items out of these!
We will try to go outside each day we are able - please send hats, gloves, winter coats, etc.
