HOW IT BEGAN

Volleyball was invented by a man named William G Morgan at a YMCA. In 1990 an official ball was made for volleyball . In 1917 the game was changed to 21 points to 15 points. In 1964 volleyball was introduced to the Olympics.

HOW YOU PLAY

Volleyball is played with six players on each side of a net. Volleyball is played until one of the sides gets 25 points. To win you must score more points than the other team leading by at least 2 points. The serve is what starts the game. Passing the ball is used when you receive the ball.

VOLLEYBALL RULES

There is supposed to be 6 players to be on the court, 3 are in the front row and 3 are in the back row. Each team is aloud to have a libero (a person who only plays in the back row and that wears a different color jersey). The ball has to travel between the antennas or the other team gets the point. The ball is counted in if it his the boundary line. You are aloud to hit the ball with any body part.
