From the Principal's Desk

What a wonderful week we had! With our Kindness Spirit Week and our Thanksgiving Lunch yesterday, we made so many memories at school.

We hope that each and every one of you has a safe and happy Thanksgiving Break. We are so grateful for the Lenski community. We will see you on the 28th. We have our Lenski Accountability Committee meeting coming up on November 28th at 1:30pm. Bob Spinuzza, our LPS Director of Safety and Security, will be our guest speaker. We hope to see you there! Please view our agenda here.

With Lenski Love,

Sock it to 'Em

Annual Sock Drive

Welcome to the 4th Annual Lenski Sock Drive!

November 28th - Dec 16th

Did you know socks are the number one clothing need for people experiencing homelessness?

Lenski is excited to partner with Sock It To 'Em, a local charity dedicated to serving the homeless. Our drive will benefit several Denver Metro organizations that serve our community.

Our goal this year is to collect 5,000 pairs of socks!

Please bring in NEW socks for men, women, and children. There is currently a high need for men's socks. Drop off donated socks in your classroom.

Let's make a social impact one pair of socks at a time!

From the Counselors

Following on this month’s theme of gratitude, we have been doing “Appreciation Circles” in each class, and it has been a delight to hear from each of them what they appreciate about each other and what they have done for one another (playing with me at recess, helping me with a math problem I didn’t understand, etc.) We have encouraged students to continue to thank their friends and family members throughout the month while away from class! Here’s a helpful article with some ideas about how to practice gratitude with your families: Raising Grateful Kids: Why Giving Thanks is Good for the Soul. We are thankful for Thanksgiving break and some intentional time to practice this skill together, outside of school- and hope that you all get to see this played out in each of your students lives!

WE ARE GRATEFUL FOR ALL OF YOU AND WHAT YOU DO AS ADVOCATES FOR YOUR CHILDREN!
