COVID-19 TESTING AT WYWLA
REPORT CARD TIME!
First semester report cards for students in grade 6 -12 were distributed today during GLC. Many students will come home with great report cards and a few may bring report cards with less than stellar marks. Report card time can be stressful for students in both categories. Our goal is to help all students reach their academic potential.
As we begin second semester, it is important to monitor your child’s attendance, academic progress, and your child’s routine. Re-establishing your child’s routine will not only help your child feel happier and healthier, it will also help your child end the semester on a positive note.
Parent Tips for a Successful Spring Semester
1. Help your student get organized.
2. Review all class syllabi and know the expectations. Important class information is on your teachers’ websites.
3. Come prepared with notebooks, school supplies, etc.
4. Complete readings and homework assignments daily. Don’t get behind!
5. Maintain good attendance.
6. Review your contact information to make sure the school can communicate with you.
INCLEMENT WEATHER
As we move into the winter season, we must prepare for the possibility of bad weather. In case of snow, sleet, or other hazardous weather conditions, announcements regarding school closings and delays will be made on local radio, TV stations, and WCPSS communication platforms. We will also post closings and delays on Twitter.

Transportation Updates
WCPSS offers regular updates at this website: https://www.wcpss.net/Page/1910. This is typically updated early in the morning (prior to 6:00AM) and around lunch time for morning and afternoon routes respectively. We suggest you check it daily, as there have been routes cancelled recently due to driver absences.
