This week we completed the iReady assessments and I look forward to sharing the reports soon. The students have grown so much in both reading and math, we have so much to be proud of.

There were also a few special events that occurred this week, on Thursday our two first grade classes visited the library gardens and planted a butterfly and pollinator garden with the help of Mrs. Guillbert. This will also be the location our second graders release their butterflies. Today, our fifth graders visited the middle school they will attend next year. Also today our kindergarten had an in-school field trip where they learned about animals. Tonight is our baseball night, all Lincoln Readers will attend the Kane County Cougars game and will also be able to see our band students perform.

Next week we have spirit week and also a few class picnics, 5th grade Civil War days, and our 5th graders' Too Good For Drugs luncheon.

The following week on Monday we will have our field day, the volunteer google form is linked here. We will also have the 5k for our runner's club and Kimmer's ice cream outing for all that choose to come and join. Wednesday morning our school will honor all of our volunteers, if you have been a volunteer this year please join us for a light breakfast and gathering on Wednesday, May 25th at 8:30 am on the south lawn. We will also have our final clap out of our 5th graders, Wednesday, May 25th at the end of the day, this will be beginning at 2:45, students will walk the building and then exit the kindergarten doors where parents can view and take photos and clap them out of Lincoln.
