A Message from Dr. Lambert
Good afternoon and happy Friday,
I hope that you enjoy your weekend. I am already missing our Bobcats and cannot wait to see them Monday.
There is just one quick piece of information I would like to share today. Each year, the State of Texas releases the Texas Academic Performance Report (TAPR) for school and districts. The 2019-2020 TAPR for Bush Elementary has been posted online. You can access the report by following this path:
- On the school web site (http://bush.conroeisd.net), go to "Our School/Campus." Then, click "View School Profile." From there, select "Accountability Reports" and click "2019-2020." Then, select "Texas Academic Performance Report."
- A direct link to the report is also found here.
Again, enjoy your weekend.
Take good care,
Dr. Jarod Lambert

Gifts to School Employees
As we move into the holiday season, we realize that many parents and students will want to give gifts to staff members. We are all thankful for the generosity of our community. There are some rules governed, in part, by state law related to what school employees may accept. If you choose to give a gift to a school employee, please keep these things in mind.
- The gift may not be intended to influence the teacher to pass the student of give the student some other kind of preferential treatment.
- State law prohibits public employees from accepting gifts if the gift is valued at over $50. No gift may be in the form of cash or some other negotiable instrument. Therefore, no gift from a student to a teacher should be valued at more than $50. A gift card in an amount larger than $50 is acceptable so long as no individual student contributed more than $50 toward the gift card. Local Board Policy DBD states, "An employee shall not accept or solicit any gift, favor, service or any other benefit that could reasonably be construed to influence the employee's discharge of assigned duties and responsibilities."
