KIndergarteners join Preschoolers for Apple Fest
Apple Fest
September is all about apples and on September 8th, the St. Louis School Kindergarteners joined the St. Louis School Preschoolers to celebrate apples and the coming of Fall with our own Apple Fest.
Kindergarteners and Preschool students were teamed together and visited 6 stations. These included creating pretend pies in the kitchen, playing in the gym room, reading in the library center, pretend harvesting at the farm station, getting some fresh air outside on the new piece of Pre-K playground equipment and of course making our own applesauce for snack.
Both Kindergarteners and Preschoolers had so much fun getting to know one another and we are looking forward to teaming up again soon!
Youth Group to send care packages
The Jr. High Youth Group is working on an exciting project to send out care packages to college students from our parish. So far, we have over 70 college students that we will be sending a package to this Fall. The care packages will contain gifts and a card of encouragement made by the Jr. High Youth Group, along with snacks/goodies to get them through finals week.
If you would like to help by donating goodies to put in the care packages, some suggestions are listed below. Please note that the box will be small (small Flat Rate box). We will make sure to have an equal assortment of items in each box. Items can be brought to Jr. High Youth Group, or turned into the school or parish office by November 3rd. Thank you!

Why is my child coloring in music?
We have started Christmas songs already! One of the best ways we memorize is by hearing the same thing on repeat. For some of our younger students, this can be difficult. You will see coloring sheets come home – we color as we listen! Most weeks, we will work specifically on one or two songs to memorize, and then listen to the other ones while our hands are busy. It helps our brain focus on what we are hearing without getting antsy.
