SICSA

-The Society for the Improvement of Conditions for Stray Animals is a well known organization that works hard to prevent the issue of stray animals. This charity was founded in 1974 by a group of individuals who wanted to help stop this problem as much as they could. SICSA has been very successful with their goal of providing animals with a loving home and providing people with loving animals, because of their success SICSA has earned two awards and provides many ways for people to help reach their goal of preventing stray animals.

Promoting the welfare and adoption of companion animals, and nurturing loving, lifelong relationship between animals and people.

What is the issue/cause that your charity supports?

The issue of stray animals is spreading throughout the world, especially in places where people see it as normal. If this problem is not addressed many animals will go without homes and continue fighting for their lives. The founder of SICSA is Nora Vondrell, she works hard with the other volunteers to make sure stray animals are happy and find a loving home. This organization was founded in Wilmington Pike, Dayton, OH in 1974 by a group of individuals who noticed the problem and dedicated themselves to helping. The purpose of the organization has stayed the same from beginning to now but it has accomplished a lot. SICSA has earned two awards, the BBB Eclipse Integrity award in 2013, and the Charity Navigator award for a four star charity.

How did the organization begin and grow into what it is now?

-This organization was founded in Wilmington Pike, Dayton, OH in 1974 by a group of individuals who noticed the problem and dedicated themselves to helping. The purpose of the organization has stayed the same from beginning to now but it has accomplished a lot since then. What does your chosen charity do for the community?

“Promoting the welfare and adoption of companion animals, and nurturing loving, lifelong relationships between animals and people.” SICSA’s mission statement shows the dedication of the people who have contributed to this organization and how it has grown. This charity helps the many animals who do not have homes, and people looking to adopt loving pets

How effective is this charity in accomplishing its goals?

-The Society for the Improvement of Conditions for Stray Animals goal’s of helping and rescuing stray and neglected animals has been very effective in accomplishing it goals, by help from their community and hard work from their volunteers. SICSA had made a difference in many animals lifes. SICSA has made differences in many animals lives and are not thinking of stopping anytime soon. SICSA has went out and rescue stray animals from neglected places or just roaming the streets, many more lives were saved through the rescue and now being adopted a ,31% increase.

”last year SICSA helped 1,556 animals receive love, attention and medical care they needed”.
