HOLY ROSARY NEWSLETTER
Term 1 Week 8 - 23 March
FROM MARK:
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we close in on Holy Week, the most important time of the year in the Christian calendar, we give thanks to those who take heed of the importance of this oneness.
Our Three Catherine students and their teacher Anthony D’Aloia did such a lovely job at today’s assembly. Your focus on Holy Week was just perfect! What a great way to start Friday – thank you!
Thank you to the forty (!) parents who have signed up as Class Representatives! Your role plays such an important part of our school’s communication and support network. We really appreciate your support. Many thanks to the HRC for such a great outcome!
Swimming Trials on Monday, HRC Meeting on Tuesday, Stations on Thursday. What a week!
Nathan Byrne and his gang of dads who helped him were delighted to see many more families join the camp out this year. Check out the video in our HRC news.
Have a great weekend
Mark de Kluyver

HOLY ROSARY COMMUNITY NEWS
2018 Dads and Kids Camp Out: Recap
Around 80 families slept over at school on Saturday night. We survived on a diet of games, great food and new friendships. The sprinklers at 3am did not even dampen our spirits!
Thanks again to Nathan Byrne and his team of awesome Dads for coordinating such a big event. It even raised some money for our Holy Rosary Community which is an absolute bonus.

Raising Dough for our School
Holy Rosary has signed up to Bakers Delight (Woodlands Store) for a fantastic 2018 fundraiser: 10% of all purchases made by families/members of our school will be donated directly back to us!
Just say “Holy Rosary” every time you or a member of family makes a purchase. It runs for the whole year, so keep at it. Other locals school have raised substantial amounts of money via this generous program.
It’s that easy!
2018/2019 Entertainment Book
The Entertainment book is back again! You can now pre-purchase the 2018-2019 book. For each book sold we received $14 towards fundraising for our school. Last year we raised $1500 alone from Entertainment Book sales, which is fantastic. So lets see if we can do better this year! The link to pre-purchase the 2018-2019 link via Holy Rosary is below. Purchase your book via this link and pass it on to your family, friends & co-workers! You can purchase a hard copy book or a digital book. Paper forms will be sent home with each student in the next week or two. These forms will have all the information you need. Thanks!

PARISH NEWS
FAQ is Back !
What’s with the new sign in process at reception?
- We want to ensure that all adults on site are registered. This is about safety and security. The electronic sign-in provides a clear sticker (which includes your photo) for display. It is more convenient than the old visitor badge, and provides much more information. Signing off on the code of conduct, is part of the process. There are a few details to complete the first time you use it, but then it remembers you and makes the next time quicker.
Will the times for our crosswalk attendant Brendan change to match the school’s new closing time?
- Yes, Brendan is now starting earlier. Many thanks to one of our parents for pointing out the need for this change.
Why are our school swimming trials and the school carnival held in different terms?
- Challenge Stadium policy is to allocate only one day per school in term one because of demand.
Will we have 3 Year Old Kindy in 2018?
- YOU BET!
