"This is a new year, a new beginning - and things will change" - Unknown
Welcome Back - Message from Mr. Ford
This year is looking to be one of the most transformational years we have ever seen in the world of education. It is safe to say that students, teachers, staff and families will see things happen this year that are different from any other year we have ever experienced. This change brings with it some anxiety for many of us and it also brings opportunity. We are going to get to do some things differently than we ever have before and that is exciting to think about.
I know that there are still many questions to be answered and hopefully we can help do that in the coming weeks prior to school starting. As of today we know that the plan is to have two options for students to engage in their learning this school year - in-person and online. Our in-person instructional delivery may look different from previous years but it will still ensure a high quality education for all students. The online option - called Inspire Online - will give students and families an opportunity to engage in the learning process from their home while still being connected to our school.
If you were a family at Audubon last year you may recall a message from me in January talking about grace. In that message I shared that the word "Grace" would be my word of the year and I asked that all of us practice some grace when working with each other. This was all before COVID-19 came into our lives and changed the way we handle each day. As we prepare for the 2020-2021 school year I would again ask that we all give each other some grace as we manage the many different aspects of returning to a school year with so many questions. We will learn together, we will find answers together and we will ultimately be successful if we all work together. I am excited for a year that will bring challenges like no other year before it and look forward to navigating this year with you.
I will continue to share more information as it becomes available in the coming week/weeks.
Please reach out if there is anything that I can do to support you and your family.
Wishing you health and wellness,
Aaron Ford

UPDATE - Students First Day is August 24th (In-Person and Inspire Online)
Office Hours and Information
There is going to be limited access to visitors into the building and we would encourage you to give us a call before you stop by and see if we can support you over the phone. If you need to come to the building for any business please know that we will be implementing our new health screening process for all visitors/guests (more info below). At Audubon, one of our ways to support visitors and add a layer of protection will be to utilize our windows that will act as a safety barrier between the office and the main hallway.
We look forward to helping support you and your family as we get ready for the school year.
Office Hours:
- 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Visitor/Guest Information - Health and Safety
Visitors and guests will have limited access to the building as we begin the year. All people entering any District 11 building will be required to complete an electronic health screening form. This applies to quick visits or if the visit requires a longer stay. This allows us to monitor who enters the building in the event we must complete contact tracing procedures in the event of a potential case of COVID-19. All staff are required to complete a similar health screening each day prior to entering the building.
More information will be coming about visiting our building during the school year.
School Supply List 2020-2021
The 2020-2021 school supply list can be found by clicking here.
Supplies may be different if you are planning to enroll in the Inspire Online @ Audubon program so please wait until we have some additional information about that program.
Our supply lists were approved in May and do not reflect protective masks that all students will be required to wear during this school year. Please add that to your shopping list.
Thank you to everyone. We will get through this together!
