A Word from Mrs. Wolf
Each day, Mrs. Trent (associate principal) and I walk through classrooms first thing in the morning. This week, we found ourselves smiling thinking about all we were seeing. The first few minutes of the day are scheduled to be "morning meetings". Morning meeting time is an engaging way to start each day, build a strong sense of community, and set children up for success socially and emotionally. Most days, classes come together to make announcements, compliment and celebrate each other, make plans for the week, and solve problems that may occur. It is a special time and sets the tone for the day. You will hear our students discussing the Patriot Promise and recognizing it in each other.
One of our beliefs is in the power of Positive Discipline, an approach to student development in which mutual respect is at the core. Jane Nelson, founding author, has approaches for "family meetings" which follow similar protocol to those at school. See the link below to read more about them:

InfoSnap and Technology Update
- Every child has been issued a Powerschool account. This is where grades, attendance and family contact information is kept online. As parents, you have been assigned a Parent Portal to access this info. You only need to set it up once, so for returning parents, your account is the same. K parents, letters were sent home last week with your access info. If you have not found it, please contact mbright@k12k.com to request another copy (this applies for new families or those who have lost their log in info).
- Once you log on to your parent portal, you will see a link to Infosnap in the bottom left of your screen. Click it! Every parent has to fill out this electronic form each year. This link will no longer be live after Friday, August 19th.
- Once in Infosnap, after filling out personal information, you will be prompted to click if you accept the GAFE and/or RUP. After clicking, please click save in the upper right or your info won't sync with our system.
- If you are a 4th /5th grade parent there is also a $50 fee. This can be brought to the office or turned in to a teacher. Please write "tech fee" in the memo portion of your check and include your child's name. This is a one time fee for elementary school. Please include "tech fee" on the envelope when turning it in to a teacher. If you have questions about the fee, please feel free to email the principal at hwolf@k12k.com
- Chromebooks will be delivered to our school Tuesday for 4th and 5th grade students, however, your child cannot be issued a device until the forms and fees are accepted. We appreciate you helping us accomplish the completion of these requirements.
