The Difference
Apple owns 18 percent of the app world, banking about 500 percent more than Google pulling in $5.1 million every day. Google on the other hand owns 75 percent of the app world but only receives $1.1 million a day.
Google has a better search engine on Google Play. If you misspelled something it still has a better chance of showing up and finding your search than the app store does. With Google Play 26 percent of their apps are of games while only 14 percent of games is within the app store.
One thing that Apple and Google have in common is that they both run their own app store in the number of downloaded apps.
