Dear Parents,

Very busy here at school recently with teachers finalising grades and reports over the past few weeks. Our teachers have been busy moderating Brightpath Writing Assessments, working together to grade samples and ensure consistency between classes and grades. These assessments also support teachers in what to teach next in class, in order to improve their students writing. A reminder to make sure your SEQTA logins are up to date so that you can access the reports next week.

Our Year 5 and 6 students braved the weather on Thursday and competed in the Interschool Lightning Carnival at different venues across the southern suburbs. Yet again, our students had a great time and represented the school excellently. A massive thanks to the parents who helped out with coaching, giving up their time all term to support our students. I know the students got a lot out of it too!

One last week to go with lots going on. On Saturday night we have our end of term Community Mass and I hope to see everyone there. Thanks to P&F for providing the sausages! We also have Science Week Activities, Book Week Dress Up, Pyjama Day and our first Runners Club Training for Yr 3-6 students will be held on Wednesday.

On Saturday 24th June at 6pm, our Year 5 students will be hosting a community mass in our parish. Everyone is invited to attend. Mass will be followed by a sausage sizzle afterwards in the parish hall provided by our school P&F and the parish men’s group. This is a wonderful opportunity for our school and parish to come together to celebrate as a community. We look forward to seeing you and your family there.
