Meter is a rhythm establiished by a poem. It's usually depended not only on the number of syllables in a line but also on the way the syllables are spoken. Their are 5 basic types of Meter

- DACTYLIC (dak-til-ik )
- ANAPESTIC (an-uh-pest- ik)
- SPONDAIC ( spon-dey-ik)
- TROCHAIC (troh-key-ik)
Examples
These quotes have "Meter" because as you can see the syllables for this quote rhymes and you can easily remember it. Even at least one sentence can have meter in it, because it depends on the way you use you syllables. The quotes which I'm using are all "Iambic" meter types
