On Friday, the Year 6’s ventured to the spring carnival at various locations to compete in basketball, tag and badminton. It was a great day to practise our sportsmanship skills and meet other Year 6 students. Thank you to Ms Millen for organising such a fun filled day.

A Father’s Day Prayer

God our Father in heaven,
Bless all the fathers in the world.
We ask that you guide them
to be good role models and loving to their children.
We also ask that you help them to be a father like you are.
Give them grace and patience to handle situations in a loving way.

Message from the Principal

Dear Parents and Carers

Father's Day

This Sunday is Father’s Day, and on Fathers’ Day, we remember and honour dads, grandfathers, uncles, and all the men, who tirelessly and selflessly give of themselves for their children with unconditional love. On Father’s Day, we recall the exemplary role-model and patron saint of fathers, Saint Joseph who is the foster father of Jesus and husband of Our Lady.

Saint Joseph experienced many of the same challenges we all do, yet he lived an exemplary life and established an ideal that is well-worth following for all fathers. Saint Joseph was a man of compassion, caring and unwavering faith in God. He was a man who loved and protected his family. Saint Joseph’s great dedication and commitment to those he loved, is a wonderful example for us all.

P&F Father's Day Stall this Friday

On Friday our P&F will be running a Father’s Day stall with the help of Year 3 parents who are scheduled to assist with this event. The homemade gifts that have been made by members of our P&F are of such high quality, a lot of thought and time has gone into making and preparing them and I am sure all the dads are going to be delighted on Sunday morning when they open their special presents. Please remember to send some money with your child on Friday so they can purchase a gift for their father. Father’s Day items range in price from $1 to $8.

Mass this Friday

At our final Mass for the term on Friday, Fr Sam will be handing out special certificates to our recent Mercy Value recipients. All families are welcome to attend this final whole school Mass, which is being prepared by the Year 3 cohort.

Enjoy a wonderful Father’s Day on Sunday.

God bless you all.
