Provide Your Insights By Completing the Minnesota Safe Learning Survey
The Minnesota Safe Learning Survey is open now until November 24 for the following groups to provide their perspectives:
· PreK-12th grade educators (district and school leaders, teachers, support staff)
· Parents/guardians of PreK-12th grade students
· Students in grades 6-12
This is a collaboration between the University of Minnesota’s Center for Applied Research and Educational Improvement and the Minnesota Department of Education through the Wisconsin-Minnesota Comprehensive Center (WMCC) to gather information via a survey regarding the experiences of educators, students (grades 6-12), and families regarding their educational experiences this academic year. Results from surveys completed in February and May have resulted in three detailed reports, which you can access here.
The purpose of this survey is to get a true picture of how those being most impacted by the Safe Learning Plan have experienced it, as well as how their views may have changed over time. This information will inform future MDE planning and support that the WMCC and the U of M may be able to provide the Department, local schools, and policymakers. It will also offer each district/charter a report to compare local data to a statewide report. The survey is of course completely voluntary, and should take no more than five minutes to complete, and is offered in many languages.
