The Skipper Scoop
Week of January 21st
SKIPPER NATION
Well that was a weekend filled with snow and cold. I spent the weekend cooking, working, and hanging out in the ski lodge while my family braved the cold. Someone has to be on cocoa duty!
We had a fun assembly on Friday to kick off the Positive Behavior Supports Olympic Day in February. The 3rd annual lip sync battle will be this month and promises not to disappoint. Please help your student earn this day by getting to school on time and watching absences.
Senior banners came in on Friday and are hanging in the gym. Come out to a game this week and check them out!
I hope you have a nice week ahead. Thanks to the village road department for their diligence with keeping up with the snow this past weekend. Your hard work does not go unnoticed. And a shout out to our maintenance department for making the parking lot passable this morning- you guys rock!
Stay warm!

Life in the Village
Ms. Tenon and her design lab English students are taking part in year-long narrative writing project. During Part I of the project, students went out into Fairport Harbor to examine the history and culture of the village in order to write about it. One of the visits was a tour of the Fairport Harbor Congregational Church. The picture is from a follow-up visit to continue the conversation started this fall with Pastor Tina Green. The students left the visit continuing to write and think about the impact of living and going to school in Fairport Harbor, as well as, being inspired to design and make their own peace pole for the school.
