Bulldog Bulletin

October 17 through October 24

Character Trait of the Month: Responsibility

The willingness to answer for your thoughts, words, and actions.

Parent Teacher Conferences

Make changes on the Google Drive Sheet as you get notes/emails/calls from parents. If you want/need counselor, resource, speech, admin support please put it on those schedules too!!

Update bulletin boards if you have not already done so -student work with a rationale of work or an I can statement.

i-Ready - WE ARE NOT SENDING HOME PARENT REPORTS. I will explain the rationale at Teamwork Tuesday.

Have an "agenda" for what you will review with parents during conferences so that you stay timely. Set a timer if needed - it's not rude, it's keeping to a schedule!

Share what is important - both strengths and weaknesses!

Current Attendance Rate: 80.3%

  • Keeping your school website up-to-date (monthly check it for correct info)
  • Positive Office Referrals - keep 'em coming! No praise is too small to share with your students or fellow staff members!
  • Observations will continue! Please let me know if you have something awesome going on you want me to see!
  • Please have your Teamwork Tuesday agendas and Grade Level Meeting agendas filled out in Google Drive and in grade level folders at the end of each meeting.

Belair Craft Night

Save the date: Friday November 4 from 5:30-???

Where: Milhollin's Family Farm

What: Shoe Painting Party and Bonfire

You can purchase the shoes at Hobby Lobby, Five Below, or Walmart.

Read below for further instructions!

Tips for Belair Shoe Party!

Any style canvas shoes *paint with gesso before party night. You are welcome to use mine, in my classroom at your convenience (since we are gessoing the shoes they can be any color, the gesso will cover them in a matte white)

Craft or artist acrylic paint- I will bring what I have

Hairdryers speed up the process/ extension cords

Ideas I will have the steps I use to make the Belair Bulldog and the Jay Bird. Pinterest is the best of course.

Shoes will need to be sprayed with fabric guard to protect them. I can spray them or you can borrow if you would like. They need about 3 coats.

"Deep" Cleaning Schedule

Rowlin and Patty are going to try to get to classrooms weekly for a deeper clean. A schedule is below. What "deep" cleaning entails is desks being sanitized/wiped down, door knobs cleaned, floor mopped, shelves dusted, lights checked.

On days that your room is not deep cleaned, please make sure your students put their chairs up and pick up large pieces of trash or supplies off of the floor.

A custodial request form is being developed to request other items that are needed from Greg, Rowlin, or Patty that are not emergent.
