ADMINISTRATION
Your student’s profile hosts an array of personal information such as demographics, contacts, emergency contacts, medication, and other important information.
On the first day of school, your student was given a packet of information. One of the items in that packet was their Student Profile. Parents/Guardians should look over the information and If there are any inaccuracies or updates to your student’s information, you can make changes on the right side column of that profile sheet. On the back of the sheet is the nurses and medication information.
All profile sheets will need to be turned in, regardless of any changes. if you have not done so already, please have your student turn in the profile sheet immediately to the office or their advisory teacher. If you have any questions, please contact Melissa Weidner @ m.weidner@upperadams.org.
GUIDANCE
Students enjoyed the College Fair at Gettysburg College! The Adams County School Counselors coordinates this event each year for all students in Adams County. This year there were over 70 Colleges and Universities in attendance.
Financial Aid Night
Financial Aid Information Night will be Tuesday, September 20 at 6:30. The webinar presentation can be accessed through a link that can be found in an email to all 11th and 12th grade students with the subject line "SIGN UPS" and through a link in the @biglerville_collegecareer Instagram biography. Students will need to register ahead of time and should do so as soon as possible. The Learning Commons will also be open that night if families would prefer to stream the event together. There will also be a translator in the Learning Commons to assist families that are interested.

Please let me know your questions.

Spanish I - Mrs. Holly Powery
Students in Spanish 1 have been working on presentations for Spanish speaking countries as well as developing public speaking skills. They were able to choose a country and research information, such as the country's capital, population, popular foods, and interesting facts. Students did an incredible job presenting in front of their peers and even administrators!
Transition Classroom
The Transition Classroom had a great visit to a local farm where students had the opportunity to visit a retired equine therapy horse named Spice. In addition, to grooming and learning to lead a horse, students had the opportunity to learn about mountain search and rescue horses, and hear about real-life rescues.
