What's up in the Tech World
You all are doing great!
Wow, I have seen some great things going on at both campuses. In case you don't have time to read the entire letter, let me start with where I will be this week. I will be at Lower Campus tomorrow (Monday) until a little after lunch and also Thursday most of the day. I will be at Upper Monday afternoon, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.
I am going to keep all my comments in one group tonight because I think everything works for both campuses.
As I worked around the school this past week, I saw some teachers doing really fun things. Alyssa Knight does a great job with Kahoot. She has her class paired up in teams of 2. She had such a great idea for choosing the team name. She asked them to choose a favorite food. This eliminated using student names and also inappropriate names. Alyssa is keeping track of the top three teams and when a group gets to ten points they get a candy bar of their choice to eat in class. How fun is that!
Lori Cypher sent me the link to a cool website that allows you to make online assignments for students. I haven't had a chance to play with it yet but it looks really fun. The name of the site is Edueto. See the link below.
Teachercast is a great site with videos about all sorts of teacher related things. I am including a link below about using Swivl to flip your classroom. There are videos about so many different topics. Take a look around and see what they have.
Thank you so much for taking the time to fill out my survey from last week. I have created a spreadsheet and Clay and I are organizing and addressing all of your comments!
We have a Helpdesk Ticket Form now that will put all of your requests in a spreadsheet making it easier to track our responses to your requests. You can enter your requests here and everyone in the tech department will receive an update.
Thanks again for all your amazing work!
