Frosty's Shoppe
Thank you to everyone that was able to volunteer their time at Frosty's Shoppe! The students had a great time and I hope you're looking forward to seeing the things they picked out for the important people (and pets) in their lives.
Festive Fun ~ Spirit Days
To fill the Learning Center with some more holiday spirit, we would like to have a little bit of fun as we head into the holiday break. Students are welcome to participate in the following dress-related themes the week of December 17th:
Wednesday, December 19th - Red and Green Day
Thursday, December 20th - Festive Head Gear Day (Santa hat, elf hat, reindeer antlers, etc.)
Friday, December 21st - Pajama Day
Kindergarten Holiday Performance
Lunch Change ~ Wednesday, December 19th
Our kindergarten students will be going to the high school for their Holiday Performance rehearsal on Wednesday, December 19th. In order to make that work, we need to flip the kindergarten and Young 5 recess/lunch periods. Therefore, on Wednesday, December 19th, the lunch periods will be as follows:
Y5: 11:20-11:45
Kindergarten: 11:50-12:15
1st Grade: 12:20-12:45 (no change)
Classroom Christmas Parties
All of our classroom Christmas parties will take place in the afternoon on Thursday, December 20th. As is the case with all days involving classroom parties, i.e. Halloween, Christmas, Valentine’s, etc., lunch visitors are not permitted. The reason being that our gym simply cannot accommodate the large number of guests, while still leaving room for all of our students. I appreciate your understanding in advance. Family members are, however, more than welcome to attend the classroom parties. Below are the times for each grade level’s classroom parties:
Kindergarten: 12:15-2:00
1st Grade: 1:30-2:30
Learning Center Food Drive
We are asking students to collect the following:
- Non-perishable boxed and canned food items
- Personal care items such as shampoo, tooth paste, toothbrushes, hand cream, Chapstick, deodorant, body soap, hand lotion and Band-Aids.
- Paper products such as tissues, toilet paper, paper towels, lunch bags, and garbage bags.
