Lost and Found Pick Up
Is your student missing their coat?
Maybe they “misplaced” their water bottle, lunchbox or another clothing item.
If you’ve been asking your student where these items are and they say they don’t know, you may be in luck!
Before Winter Break, our lost and found was overflowing! We have 10 trash bags full of water bottles, lunchboxes, shoes and other clothing & miscellaneous items. We know you’ve spent a lot of money on these items and we want you to have an opportunity to find your students “misplaced” items.
Next Monday (Jan. 10th) and Tuesday (Jan. 11th), from 2:30pm - 4:00pm, our auditorium will be open for you to look through, and hopefully find, items your student is missing. Please do not come prior to next Monday or Tuesday, as the items are not easily accessible right now.
When you arrive to New Mark on these days, please enter through the Auditorium Blue Door to the left of the main school entrance. There will be signs to direct you.
Thank you!
Parent Pathway Survey
As a part of the North Kansas City Schools' focus on redefining the high school experience to ensure that our students are college career ready, our high schools are implementing industry-themed career pathways. The industry themes are designed to create relevance and connect content in core subject areas to expose students to learning based on their individual interests and aptitudes. This year's New Mark 8th graders will be the second freshman class to participate in this exciting new learning experience at Staley next year!
At the middle school level, we want to expose our seventh and eighth graders to a wide variety of professions and vocations so that students can begin to determine which pathway they might want to pursue in high school. The four pathways and examples of careers aligned to these fields can be seen in the image below.
We are looking to involve New Mark's larger community in this process and are looking for guest speakers and mentors from each of these pathways to share their expertise, knowledge, and advice with our students. Please take a moment to complete the survey to let us know about your professional and/or vocational backgrounds and your willingness to partner with our students.
Thank you for your time and your support!
