UPCOMING EVENTS
- There will be a mandatory parent/student meeting for those students going on the 8th grade Washington, DC trip on Wednesday, March 11, at 6:00 pm in the cafeteria. It is very important that you attend this meeting. Mrs. McNabb will be giving final information and have paperwork to finalize at this time. Again it is VERY IMPORTANT that both the student and a parent/guardian BOTH attend this meeting. If you have any questions you may contact Mrs. McNabb at beth.mcnabb@bath.kyschools.us
- Bath County Community Resource and Health Fair will be held on March 5, at OES gym from 5:00 pm-7:00 pm. There will be Free Screenings and much more!
- This summer GEAR UP is offering a FREE 4-day STEM academy July 6-9 at Maysville Community and Technical College (Rowan County Campus) for GEAR UP 7th Graders. This Free 4-day Academy will engage students in fun, hands on activities to increase their knowledge of STEM + H (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, and Healthcare). Lunch and snacks will be provided and transportation is available to and from the Academy. For those students who are interested, please see Mrs. Slone (GEAR UP College and Career Coach) for an application. A limited amount of spaces are available. Applications are due by March 6, 2020.
- 7th and 8th Grade Band Assessment will be held on Friday, April 24, at MSU. TBA
- 7th and 8th Grade Band Spring Concert Tuesday, May 11, 2020 at 7:00 pm in the BCHS Auditorium.
- 6th Grade Band Spring Concert Thursday, May 13, 2020 at 7:00 pm at the BCHS Auditorium.
SPORTS
- Congratulations to the BCMS Ladycats Volleyball teams in sweeping the Lady Vikings of Rowan County last night. This is the first time in BCMS Volleyball history. Way to go Laydcats!!! The Ladycats will be in action again on Thursday, March 5, at West Carter Middle. Good Luck Ladycats!
- BCMS Softball Ladycats will open the season on Thursday, March 12, at home versus Paris Lady Greyhounds. The first game will begin at 6:00 pm. Good Luck Ladycats!
- There will be Boys and Girls Soccer practice today from 6:00-8:00 here at the gym.

SCHOOL NEWS
- Congratulations to our own BCMS student Heather Ott our District Spelling Bee Champion. Way to go!
- Congratulations to Izzy Hughes and Maura Boggs who will be going to State for Governor's Cup this spring. Izzy will be taking the Arts and Humanities test and Maura will be writing for the composition event. Good Luck to Izzy and Maura!
- Congratulations to Shade Stacy Bonot and Allie Dixon for their Digital Art and Graphic Design pieces being invited to State STLP in April.
- 2020 Yearbooks are on sale! Cost is $25.00. If you would like to purchase a yearbook see Mrs. Colwell.
- 4-H Applications can be picked up in the YSC
- Don't forget Drama Club is still needing performers for their Spring production. There are currently meeting every Monday and Friday till 5:00. Any questions see Mrs. Cami Stevens room 201.
- 3rd Term Grades will be mailed home on March 13.
- Kona Ice will be here on March 24, beginning at 12:45. Please don't forget your money. Prices are $2-$4.
- 8th Grade Students in ETS have the opportunity to apply for Summer Camp. This is a 3 day camp and an opportunity to go to Louisville, Kentucky and participate in hands on activities and tours of Louisville. Application deadline is March 9th.
- Nathan Harmon Guest Speaker will be here on March 12, 2020 to speak to all students in the gym this will begin at 1:00 pm.
