Principal's Message
Hello, Alcova Families!
February is quickly flying by us. I hope you are enjoying a wonderful long-weekend. Next week is Early Release. Make sure to check your dojo or our website for the conference signup link.
I am so proud of the kiddos for staying motivated and working so hard on their learning goals. Our Falcon Focus Character trait for the month of February is TOLERANCE. Wow!, our awesome school community has been a shining example of this word. We are talking with students about working together with their classmates by being supportive, encouraging, and actively listening even when they don't agree. Never forget to keep focusing on the good because there is so much of it all around us.
Thanks for your continued support!
Your Proud Principal,
Cortina Harris
Love week was a blast!!

Color for a Cure 3K
The Dacula High School Student Council is excited to share that we are holding the 3rd annual "Color for a CURE 3K" on March 20 to raise money for CURE. CURE is an organization dedicated to fighting childhood cancer through research and support of families. In our first two years, we donated a total of $12,500 to CURE from the Dacula community!!
While this year's event is virtual, it is still a meaningful way to come together as a community to fight against childhood cancer and honor the memories of the children we have lost to this disease. We would love for you to join us! More information and pictures of our first two events can be found on our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/DaculaColorRun2021).
There are three ways for individuals and families to support the color run this year - register to run ($25 & you receive this year's tie dye race t-shirt), make a donation (in increments of $10) or become an individual sponsor ($65 - one tie dye race t-shirt included). All of these options are available at https://gofan.co/app/events/172505.
