From the Principal
Hillendale families,
Speaking on behalf of our entire team at Hillendale, thank you for your incredible generosity throughout our Staff Appreciation Week! The luncheon, gift cards, and special surprises were all so thoughtful!
I am so excited to see you all this Thursday evening for our annual Spring Open House from 6:30 - 8:00 PM at Hillendale. Unlike Back to School Night, students are welcome to join parents & guardians at this event as they act as your tour guide of their classrooms. Please see more details below in our PTO Section about food trucks that will be on site that evening from 5:30 - 7:30 PM for interested families.
Please join me in congratulating all our students involved in the Chester County Special Olympics from Hillendale on all their success at the event this past Friday. Great job, huskies!
Have a great week!

A Successful Party for the Pavilion
On Friday April 30th, we had our Party for the Pavilion. Our goal for this event was to raise $16,000.00 and I’m very excited to announce that due to the generous Hillendale community we raised over $25,000. Not only has the PTO been able to offer all our normal yearly programming but we have officially raised enough funds to pay for our pavilion! In addition, a generous Hillendale family donated $15,000 to purchase classroom supplies and equipment to outfit the pavilion and make it into the amazing learning space we envisioned.
I would like to thank everyone who helped make this happen but especially the 2022-2023 PTO Board, the event chairs, Stacey Gummey & Loryn Furey, and our hard-working auction team, Amanda Biggs, Chelsea Wirth, Claire van Eps and team leader Renee Rawlins. We could not do these amazing events without these volunteers. We look forward to seeing our teachers use the new outdoor classroom in the 23-24 school year.
