Know When Buses Arrive for Afternoon Dismissal & What Buses Will Be Late
To use: Just click on the slides in the left margin to see which buses were 1st, or 2nd Load. Typically the 2nd load will show what buses are late. Occasionally we will use a 3rd Load on days with special circumstances, like the beginning of school. If this is the case the late buses will be located there.
If you are inclined, you can use the free Google Slides App from the App store or Google Play to access and save to your mobile device.
Reminder: Student Drop-Off
Thank you for your attention to this important safety matter.
Flu Information
Dear GCPS Parents/Guardians,
The 2018-19 flu season has begun and Georgia is experiencing higher levels of flu than anticipated for this time of year. Experts from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommend an annual flu vaccine as the first and best way to protect against influenza. And, although the flu shot can't prevent every case of flu, it can protect you from more severe illness. It’s not too late to get a flu shot; so consider getting a shot for yourself and your family members, especially those with asthma and other chronic illnesses. Health officials encourage families to take precautions to limit the spread of illness, including washing hands frequently, covering coughs and sneezes, and staying home and keeping ill children home when flu-like and other cold symptoms appear.
If your child has flu-like symptoms, please contact your physician or health clinic for recommendations. The flu may last 7-10 days. If your child has a fever, they must be kept home. They must be fever-free for 24 hours without medication prior to returning to school. Please refer to this Healthy Habits link for tips on flu prevention. If you have questions about the flu or flu prevention, you may also contact the Gwinnett County Health Department at 770-339-4260.
We appreciate your efforts in helping us keep our students and staff well and healthy!

The PTSA is Planning and Organizing the LMS Winter Semi-Formal for February 9, 2019 from 6pm - 8pm.
Advance tickets are already available through MyPaymentsPlus for $15 or can be purchased during lunches next week 1/22 - 1/25). Make those plans, start planning the dance outfit and join other LMS students for a fun evening of dancing and socializing.
We are looking for volunteers to help the evening run smoothly. We have set up a SignUp Genius that details our areas of need. Where can you help out? Please take a look. Even if you can only help for a couple of hours, we would be grateful.
