Curtis Chronicles

March 14, 2022

Hello from Curtis Principal, Sonya Pitcock

Cougar families,

We hope everyone had a great spring break and are ready for the last quarter of the year. It has been amazing seeing the growth in your students in all sorts of ways this year and we look forward to seeing their continued growth the last part of the year. We want to congratulate all our orchestra and choir students who did such an amazing performance at UIL before break! They all received top ratings from all the judges and we are so proud of their hard work and dedication. We also want to congratulate our One Act Play students who competed at UIL and brought home many awards and recognitions as well. These types of awards and recognitions take hours of dedication and preparation and support from parents like you!

We look forward to having author, Bruce Cameron, visit us this week. We also have our Academic UIL quickly approaching too! March 26 many of our students will compete against the other middle schools in spelling, writing, chess, etc. The students are working hard to get that extra practice in and be ready.

The spring will be bringing lots of fun events so please be sure to check our newsletters and social media sites so you don’t miss anything!

Sincerely,

Sonya Pitcock

Principal, Curtis Middle School
