TJ's December Newsletter
Thomas Jefferson School-TJ Students Lead the Way
Letter From Dr. Sasso
TJ Families:
I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving break and you were able to meet with your child's teacher for your parent teacher conference last week. Can you believe there are only a few weeks left before winter break?!? As a reminder, school will be in session through Wednesday, December 21st and then we will return on Monday, January 9th.
December is always a great time of the school year, with many of us celebrating various holidays, and the excitement for winter vacation. As a result, students tend to be a little more "excitable" this month, so anything you could do to help remind your child about expected behaviors in school is always greatly appreciated.
If you have any questions, do not hesitate to call the school. 847.963.5400.
Sincerely,
Dr. Sasso

We need boys and girls pants
We have a good collection of hats, gloves, jackets etc. but we need some elementary age pants for both boys and girls. If you have any children's pants you would like to donate to the school it would be greatly appreciated. This way if a student does need a change of clothing for some reason, we will have extras in the office.
Just send anything you would like to donate with your child or drop them off in the office. Thanks!!
Also, don't forget that the 3rd Grade TJ Girl Scout Troop is sponsoring a food drive to support the Palatine Township Food Pantry and you can have your children bring in items through December 7th.

Infinite Campus Parent Portal
Infinite Campus' Campus Parent is designed to provide parents real-time access to student information. The easy-to-use design displays what is currently happening in the classroom so you can understand, monitor, and participate in your child’s educational experience.
This portal also provides parents access to check for teacher placement and student schedules once their student is registered. District 15 has also used IC to gather parent survey responses. Make sure you have your account set up for the new school year! To learn how to set up your account, watch tutorials, or access a help center, please visit our website.

Visitors at the School
Although we strive to make our school warm and inviting, we also need to make sure our school is safe at all times. This link has detailed information explaining what visitors must bring to the school.
Most importantly, visitors must:
- Provide personal government-issued identification card in exchange for the visitor’s pass.
- Visibly wear the visitor’s pass that is provided by the school’s office personnel for the duration of the visit.
