Principal's Message

As you may have seen recently on our social media, the Annual Fund is approaching. Annual Fund will once again coordinate with #IGiveCatholic Giving Tuesday on Tuesday November 30th. We are very excited for this year after the massive success of last year’s Annual Fund. Be on the lookout for additional videos and materials about the Annual Fund and the goals for this year.

Scholastic Book Fair

Our book fair is scheduled for Dec. 6-10. We are in need of volunteers to help setup and run the book fair. Please consider helping and volunteering to help put on the Book Fair! Contact Mrs. Settie if you are interested in helping!

Visit the book fair site to volunteer or purchase!

Lunch Update

I understand that the situation with not having hot lunch is difficult and frustrating. I am looking into some options for catered lunches to hopefully offer at least some new lunch options. I am also working with the Diocese of Cleveland to hopefully alter the position to make it more appealing to a prospective candidate and hopefully be able to return to hot lunches regularly in the future. Thank you for your patience in this matter!

If you need help with lunches for your child(ren), please reach out to either Mr. Mitchell or Fr. Paul to confidentially discuss the situation. We would like to be able to help!

Preschool Corner

As we are approaching the cooler temperatures of fall, please remember to send your child in dressed appropriately for the weather. Preschool utilizes the playground/outdoor space as much as possible for gross motor time and students should have appropriate dress for cooler temperatures, including jackets.

Reminder - please provide an extra change of clothes with your child in their backpack.

Fall Festival

*Please note that the date for Fall Festival has changed to Friday, Nov. 19th.*

Mission Jeans For November

As we did last year leading up to Easter and helping veterans, it was suggested to help our community again through our mission jeans. This month we can help Fostering Hope and Northeast Ohio foster children.

For the weeks leading up to Thanksgiving break our school will be participating in a fundraiser for Fostering Hope. Fostering Hope serves kids, pre-teens, teens and young adults whose lives are directly impacted by foster care throughout Northeast Ohio. We are fundraising to provide journey bags. Children in foster care often use trash bags to move their belongings from placement to placement. Fostering Hope’s Journey Bags program ensures that kids have luggage for transporting their belongings. Each Journey Bag is filled with comforting items and necessary essentials.

We will have raffles and tickets can be purchased for $1 or donated items. The items needed can be found at this link: https://a.co/guK4NjO

You may purchase these items directly from the amazon link or purchase from any store and items will be delivered to Fostering Hope.

We will also have a jeans day on Friday, November 12th for $1 for this fundraiser.

Classroom Spotlight

Recently I was invited to watch the second grade exhibit their readers theater for Halloween! Students each had a part and acted out the parts as they read. It was a lot of fun watching and third grade and kindergarten also demonstrated great listening skills while being awesome spectators!

Covid Symptom Screening

Last year, we were able to remain in-person learning in large part due to the vigilance of our families by doing daily screenings of symptoms of children before arriving at school. The goal is to again remain in-person and pre-screening for Covid-19 symptoms prior to arriving at school is a great strategy to stay in-person. Please check daily for symptoms. If your child is not feeling well, exhibiting symptoms, and/or seem sick, please keep them home and allow them to rest and get healthy before returning to school. To return with after any Covid symptom there needs to be 24 hours symptom free without use of medication. We will make accommodations necessary to ensure your child is able to get missed work and get caught up upon returning.
