Growing Saints

"This is what we are about: we plant the seeds that one day will grow. We water seeds already planted, knowing that they hold future promise."

-Attributed to Archbishop Oscar Romeo

From the Principal's Office...

One of the beauties of fall is experiencing the fruits of our labors from spring. On Wednesday, October 12, our kindergarten through sixth graders will be going to the Community Garden to dig up the potatoes they planted last May. We planted 5 or 6 varieties so it will be fun to see what we harvest.

You can find the permission slips in Family Portal>>Web Forms.

In Web Forms, you will also find an opportunity to help us reflect on the beginning of the school year. Please take a moment to let us know what worked and what we can improve for next year. Thank you so much for your on-going support!

St. Therese and Sts. Cyril and Methodius, pray for us,

Virtue of the Week October 10-16: Kindness

Definition: Expressing genuine concern about the well-being of others; anticipating their needs

Prayer: Dear Jesus, You are kindness in itself. I desire to show charity towards my neighbor through my thoughts, words, and actions. When others meet me, let them meet YOU in me!

Help Needed

The virtual auction during Catholic Schools Week is a big hit and raises money for our Home and School group. They support so many of the activities and extras through the year. In order to have donations for the auction, we need to start now. We have everything you need to get going, we just need someone to help us put it all together. If you are willing to help, let us know!

Volunteers Needed

  • LCAB Members
  • Catholic Schools Week Virtual Auction

All school volunteers are required to be Virtus trained (available online) and have a current criminal background check. You may complete the Virtus training at www.Virtus.org>>First Time Registrant.

Criminal background check (iChat) forms can be found here and may be turned in at the office.

Health Reminder

As we enter into cold and flu season, just a couple of reminders:

*If your child has a fever, they need to remain out of school until they are 24 hours fever free without the use of medication.

*We have Covid tests available at no charge for our families. You may get one (or more) in the office.
