Administrators' Message ~ November 5th
Dear Sandymount Families,
On Wednesday, November 17, all students in grades K-5 will bring home their first report card of the school year. It is important to review academic and learning behavior progress with your child in a way that is positive and encouraging. Look for strengths and offer praise for hard work, progress, and achievement. This would also be a good time to set goals for the second quarter with you child (ren).
Sandymount teachers and staff know that children learn in many ways and at different paces. If you have concerns about your child’s progress, please do not hesitate to contact his/her teacher to learn how you can support your child at home.
Parent-Teacher conferences will be held on November 17th and November 22nd. If you previously conferenced with your child’s homeroom teacher, please refrain from scheduling a second conference, unless you have significant concerns. First preference will be given to families who have not met with their child’s teacher.
Lastly, on Thursday families and staff received information regarding a contained outbreak at our school. You are encouraged to visit the CCPS COVID-19 Dashboard for related information and data. Information is updated weekly. (link below)
Have a great weekend!

Employment Opportunities
Did you know that our school has employment opportunities currently available? Please consider contacting Stacy Kowaleviocz at slkowal@carrollk12.org for more details on available position(s). Interested applicants are asked to also visit the Employment Opportunities section of the CCPS website, as they must complete a CCPS employment application to be fully considered for positions.
