It is hard to believe that we are one third of our way through the school year. The first trimester ended on Tuesday, November 29th. The students’ grades will be released on Monday, December 5th. Please ask your student(s) to discuss with you his/her standards based grade in each of his/her classes. The student(s) should be able to explain their current level of performance and what he/she can do to improve. It is also a good time to have a conversation your student(s) about setting goals and making a plan for improvement. Encourage your student(s) to read for 15-20 minutes each night and spend time each night working on his/her math facts.
Winter has arrived! Please make sure that your child is appropriately dressed for outdoor recess. We go outside each day unless it is below 20 degrees or lower, with wind chill, or unless it is too wet. Hats and gloves/mittens are highly encouraged.
Finally, we have received several phone calls about the morning drop off process. We applaud the overwhelming majority of parents/guardians for following the process and not parking on Diversey to walk students to the school’s doors. When we do not follow the process it jeopardizes the safety of our students. Please reference the drop off/pick up process again and remember to be kind and respectful to one another.
