Thank You PTA!
For your support and encouragement! The spa package teachers received last week and various treats were just in time. We are loving the new t-shirt and can't wait to wear them! Also, I am so appreciative of the flowers I received today for National Principals Month. We appreciate all that you do.
Request a Change to Student's Instructional Setting for the 2nd 9 Weeks
You may submit request a change to your students instructional setting for the 2nd 9 weeks by using the Instructional Choice Placement form.
The window for requesting a change to your student's instructional setting is October 1-October 7. You only need to complete this form if you are requesting a change(virtual to in person or vice versa). Those who do not respond will remain in the learning environment selected for the first nine weeks.
Parents will receive notification of their students instructional change and teacher assignment on October 14th.
Coffee with Leadership
Parents are invited to join the Spicewood administration for Coffee with Leadership on Monday, October 5, 4:00PM-4:45PM to hear more about in person and virtual learning and what to expect in the 2nd 9 weeks.
Please submit questions you may have prior to the coffee.

Student Progress Reports & Grades
- Student Led Conferences will not be scheduled this year. Teachers will be sharing student progress and academic data with parents via email on or before October 13th.
- Student progress reports for grades 3-5 have been processed and available through the Home Access Center. Parents may view their students progress report by logging in to the HAC (Home Access Center)
- Report Card Grades for Special Areas (Art, PE, Music, & Spanish) will look differently this year. In the past students received a grade of (N) Needs Improvement, (S)Satisfactory, (E)Excellent. This year the categories have changed. The new categories are MS (Met Standard), AS (Approaching Standard), and LP (Limited Progress). In the event a student did not submit assignments he/she will receive the following score K-2: X and 3-5: NG (no grade). If a student has submitted assignments they will receive a grade of MS (Met Standard). The deadline for submitting work is October 9th. Please remind your student to complete and submit missing assignments for Special Areas before then.
Picture Day with Photo Texas
Picture Day is October 7th and it will be a contactless process for both virtual and in person students. In person students will take their pictures during the school day. Parents of virtual students will need to use this link to sign their student up for a time to take their picture.
