Champion of the Week!

At Martin Elementary, we recognize students who go above and beyond during the school day. Teachers submit names for Champions of the Week and one student per grade level is chosen. They receive a certificate, a pencil, and have their picture taken to be placed on a bulletin board in the building. Below are the names of the Champions of the Week for the week August 29th:

Kinder - Analia L.

1st Grade - Mario C.

2nd Grade - Jose N.

3rd Grade - Camila C.

4th Grade - Ashley O.

Congratulations to each of them!

Attendance Matters!

Every minute counts at Martin Elementary. From the moment our students our greeted at their classroom thresholds at 7:40 AM until the moment we dismiss at 3:20 PM, learning is happening. Please ensure your child is at school on-time and in attendance every day. If they are going to be absent, don't forget to send a note with your child upon their return.

Would you like to become a Volunteer at Martin Elementary?

Field Trips are rapidly approaching and becoming a cleared volunteer takes 3-4 weeks from start to finish.

If you would like to come to Martin and volunteer in different areas including Field Trips and school events, please click on the picture below to access the application. 2022-2023 applications are being accepted now.

Have you completed your 2022-2023 meal application?

Please click on the picture below to do so. Effective last week, students who have not qualified for free/reduced lunch have to pay $1.00.

Are you packing your child a healthy and nutritious lunch for school each day?

Parents,

If your child brings a lunch from home, please help us by ensuring that not only it is a healthy lunch but also that you send a meal with them. Some students are bringing chips and juice as their lunch and that is not enough to get them through the rest of the day. Remember, do not send anything that needs to be microwaved as there isn't one available for them in the cafeteria. Martin Staff will continue to stress the need to eat their meal before their desert/snack. Thank you for continuing to support our campus-wide healthy food choices program!
