International Women's Day Makerspace

In Italy, on March 8th, mimosa flowers are given to women family members to celebrate women's economic, political and social achievements. The ILC created a Makerspace for students, so they could have the same opportunity to celebrate in the same manner. Students made yellow paper flowers (origami) along with a handmade card for the strong women in their lives.

Research! Credible Sources and Citations

Wrapping up the year always means research papers! Our students are learning how to avoid a Google search and use credible sources such as peer-reviewed academic journals and online databases. Most importantly, they learned how to cite their sources in MLA format WITHOUT a citation generator!
