What was the change ?
They advanced in technology and researched in medicine and the human body .
Who were the people associated with the change ?
Copernicus , Kepler , Galileo , Newton , Francis Bacon and Rene Descartes
Conpernicus
A polish cleric and astronomer that studied the planetary movements for more than 25 years . He created the Heliocentric or sun centered theory . Conpernicus did not publish his finding until 1543 the last year of his life .
kepler
Brahe's brilliant assistant ( brilliant mathematician) continued his work . After studying Brahe's data kepler concluded that certain mathematical laws govern planetary motion . One of these laws showed that the planets revolve around the sun in elliptical orbits instead of circles as was previously thought . Kepler's laws showed that Copernicus's basic ideas were true . (demonstrated mathematically that the planets revolve around the sun)
Galileo
A italian scientist that builds on the new theories about astronomy . As a young man Galileo discovered that a dutch lens maker has built an instrument that could enlarge far-off objects . Galileo built his telescope and used it yo study the heavens in 1609 . in 1610 he published a small book called Starry Messenger witch decribed his astonishing observations.. Galileo announced that jupiter had four moons and that the sun had dark spots . Also noted that earth's moon had a rought uneven surface. Galileo's obervations as well as as well as his laws of motion also clearly supported the thories of Copernicus.
How did the change impact society at the time ?
Scientific revolution at the time .
The church and pope thought it was bad and went agianist religious views . But then people started to believe in the theory , then after they found out more about earth , space , medicine and the human body .
How is that change evidenced in today's society ?
People have more knowledge about earth and space , medicine and the human body and we continue to fund out new things everyday because of the microscope and telescope due to the Scientific revolution .
