Week 22 - 2/22/2019: Monthly PBIS focus is Kindness. March - Independence
Some of you may ask yourself, "Why isn't there a textbook for parenting?" Well guess what, there are several:) But one that is really helpful is called "Love and Logic" by Jim Fay. If you find yourself needing some support in managing behavior, I encourage you to pick up a copy. It's a quick read and full of helpful suggestions!
Kids Heart Challenge is wrapping up soon! Finalize donations online at www.heart.org/kidsheartchallenge and return all donation envelopes to school by Thursday February 28th. Thank you to all who have joined in to support our school and the mission of the American Heart Association! At the bottom of this newsletter is an attachment with information about a workshop regarding working with children with special needs. If you have an interest or a need, check it out!
We've scheduled our next McTeacher Night for April 11th from 5-8PM. Please put this on your calendar to help us raise some money for NPES!
Barbara Zuercher would like to run a soccer club after school this spring, but she needs help to run it. The more volunteers we have, the more students that would be able to participate. Days and times would be dependent upon volunteer availability. If you are interested, please email her at barbarazerker@gmail.com.
Movie night is tonight and should be a lot of fun! Thank you to Mrs. Wolfe for chairing this great event:) Doors open at 5:45 and the movie starts at 6!
The African Dance group that was to be here Monday, Feb. 25 was rescheduled for April. The company had to quit the rest of this tour for a family emergency:(
