What do you do with your school materials?
You will receive a comprehensive list of what needs to be returned to K¹², what items should be kept and used in the next grade level, and what items can be returned if they are still in new, unused, pristine condition. You can also see which materials need to be returned in My Info. To view more information, see the Learn Which Course Materials Will Need to be Returned article.
8th Grade Parents on GBVA Facebook Page:
To stay up to date on the most current information, we ask that any parents of 8th grade students (without younger GBVA siblings) exit the GBVA Facebook group and join our High School group. Here is the link to join:
Choosing Your Electives for the 18.19 School Year
It sounds crazy to think that we are already preparing for school year 2018/2019 but we are, and we are looking at ways to make improvements in our programs for all of you! You should have received an email from Madonna Johnson, CTE Program Coordinator for Destinations Career Academy of Nevada, requesting you complete and return the Program of Study form. This form will help to place your student in appropriate electives next school year that align with their interests and future goals. If you have not completed this form, please do so as soon as possible and return it to madjohnson@k12.com. If you have any questions regarding this form, you can reach out to Ms. Madonna and she will answer any questions for you.
College Campus Tours!
Destinations Career Academy of Nevada recently had the opportunity to tour the campuses of Nevada State College and College of Southern Nevada North Las Vegas Campus. These two colleges are just a couple of the many options available to you as places to continue your education upon your graduation from high school. If you would like additional information about Nevada State College or College of Southern Nevada, please reach out to Madonna Johnson, CTE Program Coordinator for Destinations, at madjohnson@k12.com
