Sterling Heights Public Library
This year, the Sterling Heights Public Library celebrates reading with its aquatic-themed Summer Reading Program, Ocean of Possibilities. This program runs June 6th to July 22, and will feature reading goals and prizes to inspire patrons to read all summer long. There are programs for babies, listeners, readers, special needs, teens, and adults. Patrons can participate at the Library, or track their progress on an online platform. Beginning on Monday, June 6, visit the library to get your goal sheet or Summer Reading | Sterling Heights, MI - Official Website (sterling-heights.net) to get started.
All Youth, Teens, and Adults that participate will be entered into a drawing for a grand prize. For those participating in-person, turn in your goal sheet by July 22 to be entered into the drawing. Grand prize winner will be announced July 23.
The Youth grand prizes are four tickets to SEA LIFE Aquarium + LEGOLAND, a hoverboard, or a $100 gift card to Urban Air Adventure Park. Teen grand prizes are a $100 Visa gift card or an oversized Jenga game. Adult grand prizes are a $100 Visa gift card, an oversized Yahtzee lawn game, or a ladder toss lawn game.
Celebrate the completion of another year of summer reading with a fun outdoor event! It will be held at the Dodge Park Farmers Market Pavilion. Join SHPL for crafts and ice cream and then stick around for a presentation featuring some scaly critters from our friends at The Reptarium of Utica. Register on their program calendar, or by calling 586-446-2640.
