What made you decide to become a teacher?
I decided to work in elementary school because kids not only are our future but also make a difference in our world today. I hope to be planting seeds of compassion and confidence so that students grow into citizens that will make a positive impact in our world.
What brings you joy while teaching?
There is never a dull day in elementary school! So many amazing things happen each day. I love seeing students apply newly learned skills to their everyday life.
What is one fun fact about you?
When I am not in school you can find me playing with my dog, attending music festivals, or thrifting!
Where did you get your teaching degree?
My degree is in Social Work from Eastern Mennonite University
What is your favorite thing about Mountain View?
The staff and teachers genuinely care about each student and are intentional about creating community in their classrooms which extends school wide.

What made you decide to become a teacher?
The impact that teachers had in my life and I wanted to give back to the future generations.
What brings you joy while teaching?
Seeing the “Ah ha” moment of a child when they learn something new.

I love to travel.

What made you decide to work in a school?
Deacon became a therapy dog because he loves children and helping to make everyone’s day better.
What brings you joy while working with children?
Getting petted and loved on all day.
What is one fun fact about you?
Deacon loves to swim and play ball.
